FTA suggests new restrictions required to stop excessive tolling

The FTA has posited that the level of tolls for goods vehicles should be restricted as levels have risen too high, and are thus affecting how road users travel- not using certain areas of the road network.

This comes as Spaghetti Junction hits its 40^th anniversary and, alongside the M6, is still the main transport route for many goods vehicles although it had been envisaged that the M6 Toll road would take some of the pressure away from this area. Tolls are said to be of a level which drivers deem too high and therefore avoid.
